Air Fryer Roasted Chicken Breasts

When a recipe calls for shredded roasted chicken, I pull out my air fryer and make this recipe. It’s quick and easy and works well in enchiladas, burritos, stuffed peppers, sandwich wraps, salads and so on.

Air Fryer Roasted Chicken Breasts

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 4 – 7-8 ounce boneless, skinless chicken breast

Directions

  1. In a small bowl mix together the paprika, oregano, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  2. Brush each chicken breast with olive oil ensuring it is completely coated.
  3. Rub the spice mixture over each chicken breast.
  4. Grease the air fryer basket well and preheat to 370f.
  5. Place the chicken breast in the air fryer basket and set the timer for 20 minutes, turning the chicken over halfway thru.
  6. Once the air fryer has finished, check the internal temperature of each chicken breast ensuring it is a minimum of 165f. Remove the cooked chicken breasts from the air fryer. If a chicken breast needs more time, cook it in the air fryer in 3 minute intervals until the internal temperature of 165f is reached.
  7. Let the chicken breasts rest for about 10 minutes before serving or shredding.
